Paris Fashion Week Fav

Although, I must say some of the designers on the runway this year displayed absolutely amazing pieces… Saint Laurent was the Paris Fashion Week Fav!

SAINT LAURENT

The lights went on and the stage went up, and Hedi Slimane put on yet another raucous, rocking collection, titled “Pretty Boy.” It was pure punk, edgy,  and we can’t wait for the Hedi haters and lovers to battle over this one. The runway was classic to what Paris Fashion Week is all about, Glamour and the Pretty Boy theme complimented this classic catwalk perfectly. He’s been accused of a lot of “Same-y” styles season to season, but this season none of these accusations would stand a chance. The clothes and the vibes change. Slimane just likes it skinny, short, and a little dirty whether its 80’s kids, 70’s disco, or this seasons edgy punk. Saint Laurent is well-known and respected for its thorough characteristics in black and also a point of reference for many other designers. Slimane should be applauding himself for this seasons “Pretty Boy” Punk Collection.

Slimane’s girl’s displayed a personality of party and were dressed to kill in fit-flare party dresses that ran the from polka-dotted numbers with tulle underskirts for an extra bounce to skintight animal prinkt minis barely hiding under furs in electric hues. The girls fishnets were torn and eye make up caked on to complete the ready-to-go party girl vibe.

But, these were not even our favorite styles of the collection. Yep, it gets better! For fall there were pretty girls dressed as boys in sinfully skinny cropped pants, white shirts, suspenders and slim ties- so good. To keep the pretty with the boy, Slimane added a hot fiery red lip. The double-breasted pea coats, done in leather and wool made the absolute perfect finish to this edgy pretty boy. These were mixed in with the party crew to balance sass with swag.

Slimane also showed us that he likes it rough, with zippers that unzip across a breast or way up the thigh. Clean up the makeup and men the tights and you’ve got some seriously sexy crafted clothes that sizzle with femme appeal, pretty boy or not. This is a context element. Take all of the attitude and naughty styling away and a leopard cape is opera-worthy, a stapless gown with chiffon peaks sticking straight is red carpet ready, and a binding leather mini unzipping itself to reveal contrasting fabrics beneath looks ready for a chic, exclusive after party.

The context is Slimane displayed was so simple, but if you analyze the styles and take away certain aspects the theme was crafted intelligently and intentionally. The “Pretty Boy” punk theme knocked Saint Laurent right out of the park. It was without a doubt one of our Paris Favs!

Perfect Summer Outfits

We came up with some perfect summertime outfits for you this year!

It is important to embrace style categories that can be cohesive with everyones favorite class “CASUAL.” Each outfit details a particular category of style in the fashion industry as follows: formal, edgy, street, and corporate. It is not everyday that we get to incorporate the word casual into “Business Attire” or “Edgy” but why not? What holds us fashionista’s back from becoming inspired to create a mix of our own interpretation of these categories. We do not always need to follow the rules of fashion, we can make our own. This is what being a creative is all about in our industry, so mix it up sometimes!

Through accents of bright colors, with a base of monotones & neutrals these outfits are perfect for any summer occasion. Whether you are attending a business lunch at the rooftop of the Ace Hotel in the strong summer heat, or on your way to style a photoshoot in Downtown Los Angeles; these are some perfect combinations of staying cool & maintaining your young professional look.

Street Casual Look by Creative Fashion Blogger, Julie Sariñana embraces a non-traditional take on denim overalls combined with a rough light-denim-washed cut off to provide a perfect balance of light and dark monotone denim. She uses accents of velvet red sandals to pop & and grab your attention. These characteristics play perfectly with her neutral clutch and jewelry accessories to give a subtle emphasize a subtle flow of colors.

Corporate Causal is an amazing option for a busy business fashionista in the hear. This cobalt suit from Via Delle Perle is one of our favorites! It’s a suit and it’s a suit with shorts. So far, thats three out of three! Lately here at Find Fashion we have developed a soft spot for something I like to call midi shorts. Midi shorts are definitely longer than Coachella-style barely there mini shorts but not quite as long as Culottes. Basically a happy medium and a perfect option for pretty much any occasion, especially in the heat. Having realized the full potential of midi shorts, I suddenly felt a void since none yet found their way into my closet! To fill the void, the scoured the web in hopes of finding a perfect pair, but instead found a perfect suit!

Formal Casual worn by Annabelle Fleur is a flawless combination of class and casual. This look seamlessly brings together a simple classic plaid mid top with a beautiful bright pink knee high skirt. Not only does this look have the perfect balance of bright & neutral colors, it also has a lovely balance of symmetric circular waves and crisp square shapes. To top it off, Fleur finishes the look with gold accents in her accessories such as: clutch, jewelry, and heels. This outfit can be worn to a classy business dinner, or to a casual brunch date.

Edgy Casual is one of my absolutely favorites. This outfit is edgy in all of the right places, such as the rockin’ neon yellow mid cut blazer with rolled sleeves! What a great way to embrace summer with yellow accents, and how difficult can it be to come up with a way to wear this bright of yellow? Not a problem with this style! The look is finished with a pastel loose cut blue top, and wool gray mini skirt. Who would have thought all of those items would look so good together? Straight angles and square shapes give this look the perfect edge and ranges of length to make everything flow cohesively. To finish this look flawless are the Adidas Original Superstar Foundation Leather sneakers that bring the casual to edge. We want to wear this outfit every day of the week!

It is expected that London’s 2015 Spring/Summer styles will have a bit of a sporty edge. However, this specific style will not be quite as laid back as it has been in the past. Bright and bold seems to be the way to go, as a number of designers have added a multitude of colors into their designs. Furthermore, what used to be considered a “color clashing nightmare” may just be turning into a bold and fashionable statement based on the clashing of colors seen in the recent runway collections of high fashion designers.

In the past, femininity may have been characterized as designs with a multitude of bows, pink fabrics, and flower accents, but this idea can be forgotten. Edgy femininity is the new style in the upcoming spring and summer seasons. Designers have mixed lace and delicate patterns, with harsh and edgy colors creating the perfect look for the strong, powerful, and feminine woman.

So as you get ready for the upcoming year, be on the lookout for London’s edgy and colorful Spring trends.
