VICTORIAS SECRET x BALMAIN

We are still grinning huge smiles over this amazing collaboration. We could not wait to share it with you guys, can you believe it? What a dream come true. Victoria’s Secret x Balmain are here with some absolutely amazing designs.

It’s a match made in top-model heaven. Balmain and Victoria’s Secret have teamed up for a collaboration that unsurprisingly marries the glamour that both brands are known for. Designer and Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing, has created an It-girl cult around the lauded house, with fans ranging from Kendall Jenner to Joan Smalls models who, as it happens, have also become icons on the Victoria’s Secret runways over years past.

This marks the first time Victoria’s Secret has worked with another brand to create an exclusive collaboration to be sold in stores. A number of styles will also be incorporated into the VS Fashion Show in Shanghai later this month. From crystal-encrused bras to underwear with fishnet details, the collection marries Balmain’s rockstar DNA with the flash we’ve come to expect from VS’s buzzy fashion shows.

Below, we’re sharing a sneak peek at the collection, which you can shop after the show airs on November 28.

What do you guys think of the selection?

We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

THE CFDA AWARDS

The CFDA Awards are arguably the biggest night in the fashion world. They rival events like the Met Gala and its counterpart across the pond, the British Awards, but tonight’s event certainly holds a special place for anyone who respects the work of so many domestic and international designers who’ve been honored over the past 30-plus years. All this is to say, naturally, the red carpet is impressive. Of course, since the event is so huge, and so stylish. We’ve narrowed down our favorite looks that lit up the Hammerstein Ballroom tonight. Trust us: These are the looks everyone will be talking about in the morning (probably until next year’s awards, too).

Receiving an honor from the Council of Fashion Designers of America is one of the highest recognition’s that someone within the fashion industry can claim. But choosing one per category for the 2017 awards had to have been a very, very difficult decision. Last month the CFDA announced its official list of nominated artists, filled with both industry vets like Marc Jacobs and newcomers but only to the United States such as Raf Simons, for his short but highly impressive work at Calvin Klein. Also among the nominations are the potential recipients of the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent that celebrates so many of the talented labels we can’t stop talking about, including Off-White, Monse, and Brock Collection.

Of course, along with the annual awards, the CFDA will also honor many of the women and men who make positive change and set the bar high for what they do. This year specially, three individuals will be recognized for their work in the Women’s March, each having used her voice and talents in a different way: Cecile Richards, Gloria Steinem, and Janelle Monáe. And in the most bittersweet moment tonight, the CFDA announced that Franca Sozzani, the late editor in chief of Vogue Italia who passed away in December, will posthumously receive the Fashion Icon Award.

8 Spring Style Trends You Need In Your Wardrobe

We know you find fashion lady’s love your designers, wardrobe, and trends. We’re not exactly mind readers, but thanks to the designers’ Spring ’17 runways, we can paint a pretty clear picture of the coming months in fashion. These looks set the pace for a new season, and it’s going to look a little different from the style world as you know it. Prepare for bolder prints, more frills, and some serious wardrobe disruption. While minimalism has ruled, 2017 is poised to bring some big change to our closets. We did our homework and watched our fashion weeks very carefully to come up with the perfect eight spring trends that are not just perfect for spring, but for every season. If you can rock all eight trends for spring, you are going to be set with your wardrobe for the rest of the year, and let me tell you they are absolutely worth it to take a peak at and try out.

ISN’T IT ROMANTIC // 1

Ruffles, voluminous sleeves, and nods to the Victorian era made Spring’s most covetable dresses decidedly romantic, and a touch more dramatic than your average day dresses.

(1)Erdem Spring 2017, (2)Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017, (3)Fenty x Puma by Rihanna Spring 2017, (4)Alexander McQueen Spring 2017, (5)Preen Spring 2017, (6)Rodarte Spring 2017.

VACATION PRINTS // 2

Spring’s florals are bright, splashy, and on vacation. The saturated, tropical-feeling motifs find their way onto everything, giving you those getaway vibes, even when you’re trapped at home.

(1)Peter Pilotto Spring 2017, (2)House of Holland Spring 2017, (3)Rosie Assoulin Spring 2017, (4)Tibi Spring 2017, (5)Ports 1961 Spring 2017, (6)Altuzarra Spring 2017.

TRACK HAPPY // 3

Fashion’s obsession with athleisure is a staple for Spring, delivering a riff on your favorite sweatpants and track pants. Dress them up or wear them right to the gym; either way, you’ll be right on trend.

(1)Vetements Spring 2017, (2)Fenty x Puma by Rihanna Spring 2017, (3)Markus Lupfer Spring 2017, (4)Isabel Marant Spring 2017, (5)Paul Smith Spring 2017, (6)Versace Spring 2017.

OVEREXPOSED // 4

Come Spring, overexposure will be the new norm, thanks to bra tops and bandeaus putting midriffs on full display. Opt for a little modesty with a sheer top draped over top or a jacket left wide open to show off everything.

(1)Dior Spring 2017, (2)Prada Spring 2017, (3)Bottega Veneta Spring 2017, (4)Fendi Spring 2017, (5)Gucci Spring 2017, (6)Anya Hindmarch Spring 2017.

EARN YOUR STRIPES // 5

The classic print rules for Spring, but it’s got a contemporary update in knits, sheer fabrics, and even asymmetrical cuts. And if you prefer a more traditional look, you might just want to snag new suit separates with the must-have pattern.

(1)Chanel Spring 2017, (2)Monse Spring 2017, (3)Chloé Spring 2017, (4)Erdem Spring 2017, (5)Fendi Spring 2017, (6)Lanvin Spring 2017.

WARDROBE RENEGADE // 6

Rules are meant to be broken, so why wear a button-down tucked in and buttoned up or a bra top underneath your blouse? Designers are begging you to push the envelope with clothes that are meant to be layered unexpectedly and outfits that come deconstructed.

(1)Monse Spring 2017, (2)Carven Spring 2017, (3)Céline Spring 2017, (4)Marni Spring 2017, (5)Ports 1961 Spring 2017, (6)Giambattista Valli Spring 2017.

80’S GLAM // 7

Full sleeves, high shine, and body-conscious fit signal the return of ’80s glam on the runway, ready to pump up the volume in your closet.

(1)Gucci Spring 2017, (2)Tom Ford Spring 2017, (3)Balmain Spring 2017, (4)Elie Saab Spring 2017, (5)Isabel Marant Spring 2017, (6)Preen Spring 2017.

PUNCTUATED IN PINK // 8

Pretty and soft isn’t the way you’ll think of Spring’s pink palette. The color was a designer favorite, punctuating runways with its ironic sweetness or, sometimes, bold, saturated fuchsias.

(1)Givenchy Spring 2017, (2)Bottega Veneta Spring 2017, (3)Céline Spring 2017, (4)Prabal Gurung Spring 2017, (5)Chanel Spring 2017, (6)Delpozo Spring 2017.

Hope you enjoyed our Spring savy trends!

The Number One Stylist in Hollywood

We’ve been longtime fans of Karla Welch’s personal style and work. She’s one half of bi-coastal star styling team (and fellow Canadians) Kemal & Karla, dressing names like Michelle Williams, Lily Collins, Zooey Deschanel, Hailee Steinfeld, and Olivia Wilde.

For every amazing celebrity red carpet moment, there’s a genius stylist working diligently behind the scenes. Each year, The Hollywood Reporter recognizes their accomplishments with its “Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood” roundup, and the 2017 list is full of especially talented pros.

This year, one stellar stylist managed to stand out among the rest and nab the top spot: Karla Welch, who dresses Ruth Negga, Sarah Paulson, Karlie Kloss, Michelle Monaghan, Busy Phillips, and others. So why does she wield so much power in the industry right now? The Hollywood Reporter explained: “A year ago, the world had never heard of Ruth Negga, but between her subtle turn in Loving, for which she was Oscar-nominated, and her exquisitely standout red-carpet presence, courtesy of Welch, the actress is now a fashion force. That’s the power of a No. 1 stylist.” Who could possibly argue with that?

We wanted to share some of the best red carpet moments that Welch’s styled this past year.

Ruth Negga, Oscars 2017 (Valentino gown, Irene Neuwirth for Gemfields headpiece, earrings, and ring) & Golden Globes 2017 (Louis Vuitton dress, Fred Leighton cuff designed with Gemfields Mozambican rubies)

Sarah Paulson, Golden Globes 2017 (Marc Jacobs gold lace-embellished long-sleeve open-back gown with rolling waves of sparkling gold and silver sequins) & Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2017 (Ronald van der Kemp S/S 17 dress)

Karlie Kloss, Oscars 2017 (Stella McCartney gown, Nirav Modi choker and earrings; Stuart Weitzman sandals; Roger Vivier bag) & Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2017 (Naeem Khan gown, Roger Vivier clutch and Stuart Weitzman shoes)

Michelle Monaghan, Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2017 (Brandon Maxwell dress) & Sundance Film Festival 2017 (Louis Vuitton top, pants, and boots)

Let us know what you think about Karla Welch and her dream true stellar style.

The Oscar’s After-Party Attire

We have been so busy! So many beautiful moments being captured lately from all spectrum’s of the universe. From the political moments of women that are beginning to take flight all over the United States, to Gigi and Bella Hadid’s up and coming photography professional, to Paris Fashion Week! We have been gathering some seriously great information for our Find Fashion Fans. Today, we wanted to start with the Oscar’s since we didn’t get to comment on our favorite after-party attire from the night.

The Oscar’s, a night of the stars who gathered at the 89th annual Academy Awards to celebrate the best in film. But when it comes time to go home with the gold, Hollywood heads to the biggest after-parties of the year. While the Oscars sees some of the most gorgeous gowns on the red carpet, the after-parties host a lineup of more playful looks—especially the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where some of our favorite leading ladies stepped out in remarkable styles.

Diane Kruger wore a metallic Alexandre Vaulthier mini dress with a daring wrap construction. Rooney Mara was radiant in an airy ruffled and pleated chiffon number in a romantic blush tone that was none other than H&M. Emily Ratajkowski’s feather train stunned. Wearing everything from trumpet silhouettes to ball gowns, every actress below who walked the party’s green-and-white carpet was a head-turner. We obviously had to share these astonishing looks from our favorite’s in film!

Take a peak, and let us know what you think.

The Most Legendary Super Bowl Half Time Outfits Ever

Whether you’re a big sports fan or not, we’re willing to bet a fair amount of you will be tuning in on Sunday to watch the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots duke it out for the title of Super Bowl champions. Whether for you it’s the sports, the hilarious commercials, or the food and company that comes with a good party, we know without a doubt which part of this sporting event is our favorite part… the halftime show of course.

This year’s star will be none other than, Lady Gaga. If her career so far is any indication, the only thing that’s going to be bigger than her performance is her wardrobe. While we can only speculate on what she might wear, in honor of the upcoming event, we thought you guys would want to take a look back at some of the best halftime show ensembles over the years, from Gwen Stefani’s No Doubt days to Beyoncé’s famous Formation performance last year! We know you fashionista’s minds are turning waiting to see what the notorious Gaga is going to be wrapped up in this year, but only us fashionista’s can appreciate and bask over these past Super Bowl attires!

MICHAEL JACKSON, 1993

We have to start with the King of Pop himself and wardrobe legend.. Michael Jackson. Not only is his Military style jacket a statement piece, but we get to see other celeb’s rock MJ’s look at future Super Bowls. Asymmetrical designs, Aviator shades, and Golden embellishments to make the King of Pop’s 1993 half time show one for the books.

DIANA ROSS, 1996

One of the most influential American singers of her time, and absolute fashion diva, Diana Ross. It doesn’t get more Supreme than this outfit, a shape perfect magenta jumpsuit, studded with perfect rhinestone embellishments, and a golden quarter sleeve kimono to top it off. If this outfit doesn’t say Supreme or Super Bowl, we don’t know what does.

GWEN STEFANI, 2003

Gwen Stefani, our favorite 90’s tomboy. Not only can Gwen hang with the boys, her style is no doubt iconic, literally. Stefani has been known for her creative street style looks from her many performances, all the way to the red carpet. However, when it comes to the super bowl we had to mark Gwen’s 2003 half time show as one for the books. From her checkered strapped jump pants, studded belt, and glittered halter with vibrant fireman red to her killer abs! Gwen knocked this look out of the park, and it deserves a spot on our favorite Super Bowl style list.

MADONNA, 2012

Not only is Madonna notorious for her over-the-top and extravagant outfits on stage, she also is a living legend of performances. Madonna’s 2012 Super Bowl half time show was an absolute treat to every 80’s fan out there. What we really loved though was her cheerleader styled ensemble, golden pom poms, and sexy thigh high boots to match Madonna’s iconic sex appeal.

KATY PERRY, 2015

We love Katy Perry for her girl power attitude, but we love her just as much for her wacky, and out-of-this-planet wardrobe. Katy Perry’s enthusiasm in her performances makes her fans go wild and it doesn’t get more wild than the fans at the Super Bowl. Perry’s 2015 half time show wardrobe was absolutely stunning, not only did it match her original style, it also was themed perfectly with her popular song “California Gurls” representing lollipops, glitter, and the California sun.

BEYONCE, 2016

Didn’t we say that we would be seeing Michael Jackson’s statement military jacket again? Well here it is, on the one and only Queen B herself. Last years Super Bowl half time show not only caught attention for Beyonce’s social activist voice but also for her outfit of choice. Copying Michael Jackson’s 1993 military statement jacket, Beyonce took a more moderate approach with her notorious body suit. The star also spruced things up a bit with her sexy fish net style tights and black strapped guarder.

We can not wait to see what Lady Gaga has in store for us this year at Super Bowl 2017, and we are absolutely excited for not only her performance but of course her wardrobe. We hope these were some of your favorite looks from past Super Bowl’s and we would love to hear what you think about these iconic performances. Let us know in the comments below! We hope everyone has a safe and fantastic time this Sunday!

Some Serious Trends, Guys are secretly loving!

The best thing about fashion is being able to dress completely for yourself, putting on what makes you feel your absolute best. However, getting an outsider’s perspective never hurt either and that’s exactly what the fashionistas at Who Wore What did. Who Wore What completed a survey of a handful of men and women on their perspective of what looks great to them on the female body. We were pretty surprised at the responses… the current trends they liked on women included ones like “statement sweatshirts” and “pantsuits.” Shocking, we know!

Perhaps, we’d underestimated the opposite sex’s ability to appreciate the finer points of fashion. Duly impressed, Who Wore What compiled the best responses and we thought we would share these trends with you. We think that you should not only applaud young ladies and men on the streets for their trend savvy suggestions but also you should invest in these trends ASAP. So get ready to see the shocking opinions of what guys & your fellow femme’s secretly are loving on you!

Of course fashion is about self representation and being able to dress for one’s self is the most important and influential part of the fashion industry, however we can not deny that hearing the perspectives of others helps determine some of our fashion statements. Maybe you weren’t too sure about wearing oversized sweaters or fitted sweatpants… but hearing that these trends are catching eyes might crack your shell to giving them a try. Either way its about what makes you comfortable, and what makes you feel good both inside and out. We hope you give these trends a go, and be careful not to break any necks on the way.

6 Female Designers You Have To Know About

We at Find Fashion are inspired my creativity, innovation, and design. We are absolutely filled with love and inspiration when we see designers revolutionize the fashion industry. Without constant re-engineering and re thinking what is already out there; the fashion world that we see today would not exist.Think about some of the most iconic names in fashion: Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent. Each of these unprecedented brands delivers stunning pieces of couture that have redefined the fashion industry. They also share a common thread that may seem so obvious you’ve never given it a second thought: Each is named after its male founder. Although it might seem that an industry that creates products molded for women would be abundant in female leaders, the number of female heads at renowned brands has historically been lacking. However, the male-dominated fashion industry has rapidly changed in the 2000s. Thanks to the blue print layouts placed by trailblazers such as Coco Chanel, female heads are becoming more common, and with their ascendance, women are building brands of their own.

STELLA MCCARTNEY

screen-shot-2016-12-21-at-10-38-22-am

Stella McCartney began her career in fashion as an intern for Christian Lacroix before rapidly landing the role of fashion director for Chloé, where she succeeded Karl Lagerfeld. In 2001, McCartney debuted her own eponymous named brand to critical acclaim. The Stella McCartney line is now admired for its colorful, lively designs that prove fashion is above all, a means to experiment and express yourself. The brand also separates itself by maintaining a cruelty-free policy that doesn’t utilize animal products in its designs.

RACHEL COMEY

screen-shot-2016-12-21-at-10-42-07-am

Rachel Comey’s career in fashion began not with womenswear, but with menswear in 2001. However, Comey had built a loyal following by 2004 and soon expanded her line to include womenswear and footwear. Since then, cult favorites like the Mars Bootie and Legion jeans have come to define the brand’s chic, laid-back style that is at once practical and daring. Manufactured and helmed in New York, Comey’s brand perfectly characterizes the glamour New York fashion is known for.
